March 15th, 1945 – 17th Academy Awards
Gary Cooper presents Bing with the Best Actor Oscar for “Going My Way.” The ceremony took place at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood and was the first Academy Award presentation to be broadcast on radio.
