Summary
A fictionalized Hollywood telling, loosely based on the career of the Original Dixieland Jazz Band, to illustrate the origins of Jazz. As a young musician, Jeff Lambert is brought up on classical music, but longs to explore the creole sounds emanating from Bourbon Street in New Orleans. A safe, but interesting look at this unique time in music history, this film superbly blends drama, comedy and great music. Legendary trombonist, Jack Teagarden is featured and Bing later recalled this as one of his favorite movies.
