“Bing Crosby’s Christmas Gems” Album, Available Now!
The Estate of Bing Crosby and Primary Wave Music are pleased to celebrate the holidays with the official release of Bing Crosby’s Christmas Gems, available everywhere TODAY! The 14-track album, featuring a collection of holiday classics and rare recordings from Crosby’s musical archives, will bring select songs to streaming platforms for the first time ever. Filled with festive favorites and notable collaborations from Kathryn Crosby – and other musical icons like Ella Fitzgerald and David Bowie, Christmas Gems honors Bing’s timeless catalog and undeniable connection to the Christmas season.
“Christmas Gems has been a special project we’ve been working on for some time now, and on behalf of the Crosby family, we are thrilled to share it with you all,” Harry Crosby notes. “It’s been a joy to celebrate my father’s legacy and love for the holidays with this record. These songs and recordings hold such wonderful memories for us, and we hope the same for everyone who listens along.”
Fans can enjoy the album out now on all streaming platforms, as well as exclusive CD and vinyl options available at bingcrosby.com. Limited edition red and green vinyl will be available globally at select major retailers and indie record stores. Each vinyl comes complete with a special glossy cardstock Bing Crosby ornament, fit with a red ribbon. Bing Crosby Christmas sweaters, t-shirts, and album bundles are also now available for purchase online.
In celebration of the release, Primary Wave Music and the estate will continue to gift fans with exclusive video content – including a series of Christmas music videos filled with unreleased archival footage from Bing’s classic television specials. Most recently, fans can enjoy new music video releases for “Christmas Island,” “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” and more to come on Bing Crosby’s official YouTube channel HERE. In addition, SiriusXM will continue their weekly “Crosby’s Corner” show on 40’s Junction (CH. 71) and the 2nd annual “Christmas with Crosby” radio special hosted by Harry and Mary Crosby on Holiday Traditions (CH. 71).
Fans can also look for several other exciting initiatives rolling out during the holiday season. This includes a special treat from the estate’s ongoing partnership with Narragansett Beer, which will celebrate the holidays with Bing Crosby’s ‘White Christmas’ Winter Warmer Ale, hitting select retailers this November. As a nod to Bing’s longstanding relationship with Christmas, the Narragansett brewing team delivers a beer fit with holiday flavors like dark cherries, sweet orange peel and ginger, packaged into a limited-edition Crosby-inspired can. Throughout November, fans can also catch Bing’s song “I’ve Got Plenty to Be Thankful For” in the new trailer for Sony Pictures’ Thanksgiving starring Patrick Dempsey and Addison Rae.
